Green Up Day is fast approaching! The Duxbury Land Trust has been coordinating Duxbury's event since 1997, and we look forward to another successful year.
Duxbury residents typically volunteer to pick up trash along their own roadsides and streambanks. Bags can be picked up from the mailbox at the front door of the Duxbury Town Office. Volunteers place filled bags in the dumpsters at the Town Garage. There is no roadside pickup. Please don't leave personal trash or tires in the dumpster. There will be someone there to help if you need assistance.
If you volunteer be mindful of safety precautions; wear gloves and appropriate footwear; do not pick up drug paraphernalia; and watch out for ticks. It will be very helpful if you notify me of areas that need particular attention.
Green Up Day is a wonderful way to keep our town beautiful for residents and our many visitors. Please consider contributing to this important community service by volunteering today!
