Based on the hundred-year-old journals of Granville farmer and legendary woodsman, Riley Bostwick and his mother, Alma Ford Bostwick, the documentary explores rural l ife in the White River Valley at the turn of the 20th century . The poignant film, written and directed by longtime Granville resident Kate Youngdahl-Stauss, highlights the boom and bust of an economy spawned by woods and water and includes surprising similarities between Bostwick's accounts and the director's own farming experience s over the last 35 years.
Youngdahl-Stauss will be available for a talk back at the end of the 22 minute film.
