WHAT DOES THE 60% REPORT TELL US?
The feasibility study assesses community wastewater disposal options for South Hero's village areas. It has considered the suitability of nearby properties for on-site soil-based treatment, the need for additional secondary or tertiary treatment, and a preliminary plan for distribution and connection. The 60% report identifies all potential alternatives that have been identified thus far. The next step is to update the Selectboard on the report, present at a community meeting and develop the 90% complete report, which will include more refined cost estimates and funding strategies.
