Barre City River Memories in Photos The BARRE CITY RIVER ACCESS TASK FORCE wants photos of your river memories (old and new) to share with our community! Send us photos of an activity or event that took place on, in, or around the Stevens Branch, Jail Branch, or Gunners Brook, preferably within Barre City limits. The BARRE CITY RIVER ACCESS TASK FORCE wants photos of your river memories (old and new) to share with our community!

Send us photos of an activity or event that took place on, in, or around the Stevens Branch, Jail Branch, or Gunners Brook, preferably within Barre City limits. Photos of people, animals, plants, weather, landscapes, and adventures are welcome!

HOW TO ENTER:
Reply to this post/Email Author or email us directly at BarreRivers@gmail.com with your submission. If you don't have a digital photo and/or access to email, please feel free to contact us via phone/text at 802-505-7345 and tell us your name, the reason for your call/text and the best way to reach you. Based on interest/need, we will arrange a few times to digitize hard-copy photos as needed.

Please include a short caption (1-2 paragraphs) about the photo, your name, best guess of photo date and photo location (which of the 3 branches) to post with your entry (secret fishing spots need not be revealed.)

Submissions will be printed for display at the River Access Task Force booth during the Barre Heritage Festival. Festival-goers will have the opportunity to vote for their favorites!

All are welcome to participate. Limit one submission per person. If the photo is not your work, please credit.

Keep your eye out for us in the coming days and weeks for more outreach events and activities. Find us on Facebook and Instagram @BarreRivers. We look forward to seeing you at the river and around town (Barre Farmers Market, Food Truck Thursdays, Barre Heritage Festival, Vermont Granite Museum, etc.)

Hello friends & neighbors! We are the Barre City River Access Task Force created by the All In For Barre initiative (https://sites.google.com/vtrural.org/allinforbarre/home). We are currently in the start-up/development stage of the task force and need your help in creating a new name for the group so we thought we'd make it a contest. We are looking for an acronym or something short and catchy that reflects our core of improving river access and our current vision and mission. Vision: The people of Barre City are connected to their local river through access areas and river corridors that are friendly, safe, and accessible to everyone. Mission: Promoting and increasing river access, through community engagement and understanding, creation of river access areas, education, and outreach activities.
