First, a big THANK YOU to everyone for waiting so patiently to bring your clothing donations to Nifty Thrifty. We have a roomful of Spring clothing to put out on the racks before we have room to accept more clothing. We have had a few customers come in and tell us that they have brought the bulk of their clothing castoffs to big, corporate thrift stores, but that they are saving 'the good stuff' for us. We love that! Thank you.

Have you noticed the new sign out in front of our shop? It was designed by Courtney Satz and fabricated by Winning Image Graphix. Thank you for all of the compliments.

You have probably heard that Nifty Thrifty is selling on eBay now. https://charity.ebay.com/charity/i/Brandon-Thrift-Shop-Inc./360361

Our generous patrons have given us such valuable treasures that we could not, in good conscience, sell them at the prices we are famous for: cheap. So, if someone gives us a vintage Weiss brooch, or an African Maasai Warrior hand-beaded necklace we list it on our eBay shop. https://charity.ebay.com/charity/i/Brandon-Thrift-Shop-Inc./360361

The profits still benefit our little community, but the buyers are from all around the country. This month we gave $1000 to the Brandon Independence Day Celebration.

"Well, that was fun!" is the comment that we hear again and again as customers are checking out or leaving Nifty Thrifty. And the feeling is mutual. The Volunteers working at the thrift shop are having fun as well.

If you haven't been to Nifty Thrifty it is worth a visit. We are located in the old Rectory of the Episcopal church. It is a big, old, brick building at 19 Conant Square in Brandon. The parking is around the back, so you have to turn up Prospect Street, and turn left into the parking area. You can also park on Rt 7 or behind the Dunkin Donuts. The entryway is up on the big side porch, There is a rack of free clothing on the porch, and a bench of free items. Please help yourself. The shop has no public rest rooms, and no telephone. We only accept cash for payment.

We have clothing of every description for the whole family (often including the dog), but we also have jewelry, crafts, toys, linens, puzzles, games, books, cards, dishes, pots and pans, small appliances, and all manner of oddities that people clear out of their garages, basements, junk drawers, closets, attics, barns, camps....

Prices are extremely reasonable, and that is part of the reason why shopping at Nifty Thrifty is so much fun.

We accept donation whenever we are open, which is Monday - Saturday 10am - 2pm. People have been very generous with their donations. They bring us the things they know will be desirable, and salable.

We also have a non-profit eBay presence: Brandon Thrift Shop Inc.

Every month Nifty Thrifty gives money to local projects, programs, events, groups or ideas. We used to give away $500 each month, but recently we have been doing so well, that we have sometimes increased our gifts to $1000. Or we give money to a couple of recipients instead of just one. Last month we gave the Brandon History Museum $500, and we gave the Brandon Chamber of Commerce $1000 to support their April 8th Solar Eclipse event: 'A Small Town Experience of a BIG Time Event' Stop by the Brandon Thrift Shop and see what all the fuss is about.
