I thought some of the families in our area might like to know about the Hood Family day. Info as follows:
On Sunday, January 25, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m., the Hood Museum of Art will host a Family Day in conjunction with the exhibition Poseidon and the Sea: Myth, Cult, and Daily Life. Join this adventure to learn about the realm of Poseidon and its connection to almost every aspect of the ancient Mediterranean world, from mythology and cult to activities of daily life. Enjoy in-gallery activities and then create your own art. Projects include making mixed-media sea creatures, Greek vases out of paper, fish votives, and tridents, as well as digging in the sand like an archaeologist. This event is free for children ages 6 to 12 and their adult companions. No pre-registration required. For more information, call (603) 646-1469.
