RAFT- recovery after floods team is having a volunteer meeting this Thursday at 6 at the Huntington community church annex room.

We will discuss how the group will work, how we will assist our neighbors working through flood recovery, and will talk about volunteer tasks that can be done. Please join if you are interested in helping out.

The concept of RAFT (Recovery After Floods Team) is to assist individuals and families impacted by flooding and other natural disasters and support resilience building in light of almost certain future disasters. We are forming a non-profit volunteer organization to help our communities to recover from the flooding events. Recovery can take months, long after the FEMA and VT Emergency Management teams have done what they can.

RAFT will be a volunteer-led non-profit organization to help residents and families build resilience and preparedness and make adaptations for the future.
