At their July 15 meeting, the Development Review Board will be taking a walking tour of several completed development projects. The tour begins at 6pm at the Bristol Bakery and Cafe, and will run through approximately 8:30pm. Projects to be toured include: Farmall Drive neighborhood, Hinesburg Family Health site, Jiffy Mart Site, and either the Silver Street condominiums or the Thistle Hill neighborhood (time permitting). Anyone and everyone is welcome to join the DRB on this tour. We're also happy to chat with residents, business owners/workers, and really any community member along the way.
The purpose of this tour is two-fold: 1) think about whether new development is helping the community achieve the vision outlined in the zoning regulations and the town plan; 2) generally consider the finished product of projects approved by the DRB. The Planning Commission conducted a similar tour on July 9, and was treated to a rainbow and amazing sunset from the Thistle Hill neighborhood. Fingers crossed for mother nature's cooperation on Tuesday evening.
After the tour, the DRB will convene at the Town Office (lower level conference room) at approximately 8:30pm to conduct the following business:
1) Haystack Crossing, Black Rock Construction - Subdivision/PUD Sketch Plan Review. Continued from five previous meetings on Feb 18, Mar 18, Jun 3, Jun 17, Jul 1. This is VERY LIKELY the last meeting on the conceptual plan for this project. It was scheduled primarily to give DRB members one final opportunity to ask clarifying questions and give feedback on compliance issues before the Board begins deliberations. There will also be time for public comment.
2) Review minutes from meetings on 5/20, 6/3, 6/17, 7/1
3) Other Business, including deliberations on the following applications:
- Enos: 3-lot subdivision sketch plan review; public hearing closed on 6/17
- Hinesburg Center LLC: site plan revision; public hearing closed on 6/3
