Birding and Botany - A wild plant and bird expedition.

Location: LaPlatte Nature Park, Shelburne
Parking on LaPlatte Circle, just past Shelburne Post Office off Falls Road

Join local naturalist Melanie Brotz and ecologist Susan Moegenburg, for an evening discovery walk, learning about Vermont's Wild Edible Plants, Healing Herbs, and Resident and Migratory Birds. This workshop is designed for all who have wished to know more about the plants and animals seen (and heard) in our local natural areas. LaPlatte Nature Park is unique, as it encompasses many varied habitats. It includes hemlock and pine forests, beech – maple forest, floodplain forest, meadows, and more. Come and enjoy the evening tuning in to your senses and connecting with the natural world.

Bring a water bottle, binoculars, a notebook if you like, and wear boots.
