Vermont street medics is hosting another gear drive for Barre/ Montpelier houseless population Sunday Sept 13 10-12 in front of City Hall. We'll be along side Pancakes for the People distributing free coffee and pancakes. Thanks so much for all of you who contributed to our gear drive earlier this summer. We have continued to distribute your donations to those in need throughout the season. 

As the season shifts into colder weather and looking at a winter of ongoing concern around COVID-19 and it's impacts on those unhoused we want to extend another request for some winter specific gear. 
The list includes;

-tents (ideally smaller ones)
-tarps
-sleeping pads
-sleeping bags
-hand and foot warmers
- socks
-gloves, mitts, scarves, winter hats
-elderberry syrup and other cold season remedies
-baby powder/ talcum powder (for wet feet) 
-chocolate, honey straws and other sweet treats

Location: in front of City Hall Please consider functional gear for people who need to be moving around. And donate items in the condition that you would donate to a friend. Any medical supplies should be unopened and within the expiry date. We appreciate your community care and solidarity during these times.
