Are you available this Thursday, May 14th from 3-5pm? All you need is a cozy place, your computer and a willingness to share. Let's reflect on our experience sheltering in place before the state begins to re-open.
YOU'RE INVITED TO CIRCLE UP
The Vermont Folklife Center believes that a pathway through anxiety, fear and uncertainty lies in the act of listening as much as it does in the act of telling one's story. Listening in Place offers a series of online Virtual Story Circles, where Vermonters can gather remotely to share stories during these challenging times. We invite you to join us.
Story Circles are a powerful medium because they bring people together to bear witness to the experience of others. We have adapted our story circles to be hosted through Webex, a video conferencing platform that allows us to interact from our homes. Will you share a story about your experience of the pandemic in 5 minutes or less? What is your daily life like now? How has your experience of time shifted? What has surprised you while sheltering in place? What type of problem-solving have you encountered?
In good company, we will listen to and share different aspects of our experience during this time. Looking forward to seeing you on Thursday! https://www.vermontfolklifecenter.org/events/virtual-story-circle-problem-solving
