Grange: Discussing Options for End-Of-Life Feb. 1

Past event
Feb 1, 2020, 5 to 6 PM

Besides taxes, only one thing is certainly going to happen to us all. Join us at the Grange Hall from 5:00 to 6:00 on Saturday, Feb. 1st, to talk about the other one: dying. The Capital City Grange is hosting a discussion led by Betsy Walkerman, President of "Patient Choices Vermont". She'll be talking about the choices Vermonters have, including the possibility of medical aid in dying as provided in VT Act 39. There will be at least one story about one family's choices. She'll talk about the safeguards built into Act 39, and how to talk with your doctor before the end is too close. The discussion will allow all of us to ask questions and consider how to make the choices that matter to us.

Please join us to talk about this important issue and how it affects us all.

And please join us afterward, for the monthly Community Potluck dinner from 6-7:00 PM, to continue the discussion with your friends and neighbors. We share the tasty dishes, snacks, desserts and beverages, so you don't have to worry about making dinner.

Like all Grange events, the program and potluck are free and very much open to the public. For more info, call Tim Swartz: 802-225-8921
