On Tuesday, April 22nd, at 7pm, the voters of Stannard will be asked to meet and re-vote on the previously defeated school budget of $605,253.
There was much dissatisfaction expressed at town meeting in regards to how much the property tax rate will increase due to the proposed budget. General concensus at town meeting was that changes need to be made in Montpelier as to how education is funded and this was the driving factor for the defeated budget.
