The Drowsy Chaperone Comes to the Town Hall Theater!

Get your tickets now for The Drowsy Chaperone, the fall production of the Middlebury Community Players. This is, without a doubt, the funniest musical you have never seen; a hilarious send-up of movie musicals of the 1920s!

Without missing a cliché, the ridiculous plot involves a glamorous star leaving the stage to get married; her clumsy, love-sick groom; the forgetful socialite hosting the wedding and her long-suffering butler; the vaudeville producer who must stop the wedding at all costs; bumbling gangsters disguised as pastry chefs; a ditzy, ambitious chorine; an insufferable Latin lover, an improbable aviatrix, and of course, the world-weary drowsy (read tipsy) chaperone.

The whole show comes to life in the living room of an agoraphobic, who tries to cheer himself up by sharing the soundtrack album with you – the lucky audience – and walking you through the plot! The show is full of wonderful music and dance and will leave you wracked with laughter and absolutely delighted. Don't miss it!
