Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO) is hosting the “Pull Against Poverty” , a tug of war event on Saturday, November 4th to benefit CVOEO and to raise awareness about the issue of our time—inequality. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to fund our diverse set of programs. The event is at 2 p.m. in the Robert Miller Community Center in Burlington.

Teams of 8 can participate by raising a minimum of $200 per team. The registration deadline is September 30th at midnight. You can register your team and start fundraising here: https://www.crowdrise.com/pullagainstpoverty.

The top fundraising teams and the top individual fundraisers in each division will receive a prize. The prizes include a team dinner to Arts Riot, BlueBird BBQ or Pauline’s Restaurant and Café, and a pair of Flynn Tickets!
