MARK YOUR CALENDAR: THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY OF WINDHAM COUNTY IS HOLDING ITS ANNUAL SOUP FEST TO SUPPORT THE WEST RIVER RAILROAD MUSEUM. Along with 10 different kinds of soup from restaurants along the route of the West River Railroad, a silent auction will be held. As of this writing there will be over 60 gift certificates to choose from and over 60 items that can become yours to take home. Donations have come from Brattleboro, Putney, Newfane, Townshend, Wardsboro, Jamaica, Bondville, Londonderry, Marlboro, Wilmington and Dover. THE EVENT IS BEING HELD AT THE NEWBROOK FIRE AND RESCUE DEPARTMENT on Route 30 in Newfane. A small admission fee will be charged and a 50/50 raffle will be held. Stay tuned for details.
