RiseVT-Windham County, West River Modified School District, Townshend Community Food Shelf, and Food Connects presents: Dinner Together Cooking kits
What: Dinner Together initiative piloted in Windham County. Families in the West River Modified School District are now eligible to receive 3 cooking kits with all of the ingredients for the monthly provided Dinner Together healthy recipes. First Come First Serve no sign up required.
Where: West Townshend Country Store, 6573 VT-30, West Townshend
When: The last Fridays of every month. Future distribution Dates 2-4pm on: 2/26/2021, 3/26/2021,4/30/2021 and 5/28/2021.
Why: Eating as a family develops lifelong healthy eating habits, improves children's learning and well-being, and teens are more likely to have better self-esteem and less likely to experience depression or develop an eating disorder. RiseVT-Windham County's Dinner Together meal-kits offer recipes and tips for developing the habit of regularly sharing family meals together.
