This is Carolyn Dash, reaching out to you about Green Up Day. On May 4th, we'll gather as a community to pick up roadside trash in Bristol. Last year, over 22,000 volunteers collected more than 55,000 bright green bags of trash statewide. Last year in Bristol, we filled 390 bags with 1.14 tons of trash and 0.39 tons of tires! This year, we hope to have more volunteers than ever! We'll be handing out bags on the Town Green from 8 am - noon, but you can also pick-up bags at Holley Hall the week before the event.

As the snow melts, I'm sure you're beginning to notice trash on the roadsides. Please email me if you see any particularly bad patches so I can make those areas a priority this year!
