Friday April 5th, 6:15 - 7:15, Holley Hall Bristol is the first stop on a five day journey from Middlebury to Montpelier called "Next Steps: A Climate Solutions Walk" organized by 350vt.org. This uplifting event focused on personal reflection and climate justice has nearly doubled in size this week and there's a need for more food contributions. There will be similar community potluck dinners in Hinesburg, Richmond and Middlesex to support the walkers during their overnight stay.
Would you like to join other Bristol area residents in welcoming, feeding and eating with the walkers from 6:15 - 7:15 on Friday, April 5th? We ask local participants to bring a dish large enough for 10 hearty servings in one of the following categories: Main Dish, Side Dish, or Dessert. If interested, please let me know what you plan to bring and be sure to label your dish with its ingredients since there are various dietary needs. And skip peanuts altogether to avoid cross contamination. Thanks.
Please arrive with your dish between 6:00 and 6:10 so the buffet will be ready when the walkers arrive at 6:15. Everyone will need to bring their own plate, fork and water bottle or cup. We're aiming for a no waste event.
There will be a dishwashing station set up. We'll enjoy music and the potluck together for an hour or so. The Walkers will be having an evening program among themselves from 7:30 - 9:00 in Holley Hall.
Also we'll be setting up chairs in the hall at 3:30 on Friday. Stop by if you'd like to help out.
