What would you like to see and do in Hinesburg's Town Common/Green? Sit on a shady bench and read a book? Toss a Frisbee with a friend? Help your kids master a sliding board?

On Saturday, September 18 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the future Common (located behind Hinesburg's police and fire stations on Route 116) there will be an opportunity to share your ideas and creativity at an interactive design charette. Working in small teams, participants will be able to arrange park elements – trees, picnic benches, playground, and parking areas, etc. – on an aerial photo of the Common in ways that are appealing to them. Each arrangement, along with any accompanying suggestions will be photographed and made available for next steps in the planning process. This design exercise will build on the ideas collected at the "Pop-Up Park" event back in August 2019.

All are welcome and lunch will be provided by local restaurants, thanks to a VT Natural Resources Council grant. Parking is limited so please walk or bike to the event or park behind town hall.
