How has the pandemic affected immigrants and immigration law? How have trends in immigration changed or been exacerbated by the restrictions imposed by lockdown? This forum features Laurie Stavrand, volunteer coordinator at the US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants, and Michelle Jenness, legal counsel at the Association for Africans Living in Vermont. Laurie will speak to the impact of Covid-19 on Refugee and Asylum seekers, while Michelle will provide insight on the changes wrought by the pandemic on immigration law. A Q&A session will follow.
