How does the Front Porch Forum community calendar work?
In two dozen e-Vermont communities, we're proud to offer the FPF-eVT community calendar.
WHERE IS IT AVAILABLE? To see if your FPF has the community calendar, go to FrontPorchForum.com and click LOGIN, then click ARCHIVE. If you see a list of events in the right column, then your FPF has this feature (not available in Chittenden County at this point).
TO READ EVENTS, go to FrontPorchForum.com, click LOGIN, then click any of the four grey/orange tabs. For details of a given event, click on the listing. Community calendars can also be found on the e-Vermont site, as well as other local websites and blog.
TO SUBMIT AN EVENT: If you're an FPF member, click SUBMIT AN EVENT at the bottom of the calendar. Enter your event into the form and submit. If you're not an FPF member, please send us your event to membersupport@frontporchforum.com. Please include your first and last name, town, street address, and the event name, date, time, location, web address (if applicable) and other details (FPF Terms of Use apply). Please submit events at least one week before you want people to get the information.
SHARING A CALENDAR: Each FPF-eVT community calendar is a widget. Anyone is welcome to take a widget and place it on their website or blog. There are two options: narrow and wide. The wide version is on the YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD FORUM tab, and the narrow version is on the other three tabs. Pick whichever version you want, then click ADD THIS CALENDAR TO MY WEBSITE on the bottom of the calendar.
Thanks the e-Vermont initiative for supporting the development of this feature. See more about the calendars on e-Vermont's site.
